Frequently Asked Questions
What is EchoVault and what do you do?
EchoVault provides guided, in-person audio interviews to preserve your personal stories and memories. We record your voice, professionally edit it, and deliver a file that can become a part of your archives and enduring legacy your family and loved ones will cherish.
How does the process work?
After you book, we schedule a time for an in-person interview. A trained interviewer will guide you through the conversation, capturing the moments that matter most. Afterward, we professionally edit the audio into a clear, listenable recording.
Where do interviews take place?
Interviews are conducted in person. Once you book, we’ll work with you to choose a private, comfortable location and time.
How long does an interview last?
Sessions vary, but most interviews take between 1 and 3 hours. Check out our various packages or feel free to contact us with a special request. We take time to ensure your story is captured with care.
What will I receive at the end?
You’ll receive a professionally edited audio file of your interview.
How do I prepare for my interview?
No special prep is required! If you have photos, memory prompts, or specific stories you want to share, feel free to have them handy. Otherwise, leave it to us to create a conversation around your story.
What if I’m not a good storyteller?
That’s okay — our interviewers are trained to gently guide the conversation, based on our agreed upon set of topics and points of inquiry. We can also help you reflect, and prompt for more info. Honestly, we know that you’ll be better than you think!
How do you protect my privacy?
Your recordings are private and for your control. We only share or distribute your audio with your permission.
Can I share my story with others?
Yes — you own your recordings. You can share them with family, make copies, or use them as you choose.
